Nikola Jokic hit another triple-double, Curry set career-high 62 points

Last night in NBA fixtures there were 7 matches played. Brooklyn lost again against Washington Wizards by 1 point, final score was 122:123. Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant made double-doubles. Irving scored 30 points and 10 assists while Durant scored 28 points and 11 rebounds. However, it was not enough to book 4th win this season. Bradley Beal, Russell Westbrook and Thomas Bryant scored 82 points combined which was enough to win at Barclays Center.

Led by LeBron James (22 points and 13 rebounds), Lakers made their 5th win at FedExForum against Memphis Grizzlies.

After two losses, Denver managed to win over Minnesota Timberwolves. The final result was 109:124. The match was once again marked with Jokic’s domination. It was his 45th triple-double. Jokic scored 19 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists. However, the most efficient player in the match was Jamal Murray who scored 36 points.

In a game that between Golden State Warriors and Portland Trail Blazers, we saw a total of 259 points. Golden State won 137:122. Stephen Curry was a star of the night. You could say that this was a one man show. He reminded of the Curry from two seasons ago. In this astonishing match, he set a career-high with 62 points. This was the most points made by a Warrior player since Rick Barry scored 64 in 1974. Curry is also the second oldest to score 60 points with 32 years and 295 days. Kobe Bryant did it at the age of 37. Stephen Curry is also the first player to score more than 30 points in each half of the game since Pete Maravich did it for New Orleans Jazz in 1977. This was also the seventh 50-point game for Curry braking a tie with Kevin Durant for the fourth most among the active players. Curry hit 8 tress which is his 49th such game. This is more than double James Harden, who have 21 such games. However, Curry did miss one free throw snapping the 80 consecutive free throws made.

He had 8/16 for three, 10/15 for two and 18/19 from a free throw line. Is this a sign that Golden State is getting back in track. We will see soon enough. Next game for Warriors is on 5th of January against Sacramento Kings.
